Our mission is to raise awareness, educate, & promote HIV testing. To decrease the stigma and shame associated with HIV/AIDS so everyone will feel comfortable asking questions and openly discussing how best to cop with this health issue which affects various nationalities and ages.

HIV/AIDS Ministry

The HIV/AIDS Ministry is committed to promoting awareness, education, and prevention of HIV/AIDS in our respective communities. This ministry meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 12:00 Noon. We work closely with the Health Department of Palm Beach County, and participate with its Community Prevention Partnership committee.

During 2015, we distributed information in recognition of National Week of Prayer and held an educational program with the HIV/AIDS Coordinator of the Health Department as the main speaker in recognition of National Caribbean American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and National HIV Testing Day. One of own parishioners wrote, produced, and starred in a skit highlighting as an at-risk population in recognition of National HIV/AIDS Aging Awareness Day.

Sickle Cell Foundation

Grace Church supports the valuable work and mission of Sickle Cell Foundation of Palm Beach County and Treasure Coast, Inc. This organization seeks to improve the quality of life for persons affected by Sickle Cell Disease/Trait and members of their families, and to educate the public about this devastating blood disorder.
Services include outreach, education, testing and single-gene genetic counseling, basic life skills counseling, comprehensive case management including referrals to appropriate medical/healthcare providers, and family support groups. Professional development workshops are conducted annually for nurses, social workers, case managers, allied health professionals; physicians, physician assistants, ARNPs and other professions that can benefit from the information.
