Children & Youth Ministry

The mission of the Children & Youth Ministry is to serve God by ministering to all children through Christian education and activities. We minister through Children’s Church, Sunday School, Steel Band, Percussion Group, Praise Dance, Vacation Bible School, Lock-Ins and cookouts. Children’s Church is for ages 3 - 12 and, Youth ages 13-18 participate in regular church services as Acolytes and Ushers. On Youth Sunday, the 3rd Sunday of every month, the children and youth participate as lectors and present various forms of musical performances.

In 2013, the Children & Youth Ministry added two very successful programs to its list of events and activities. First, the ministry hosted Grace Episcopal Church’s first Young People Weekend in which the young adults of St. Stephen’s Fellowship joined our teens for a weekend of fun and games. Second, a group of Youth Drummers have emerged as an integral part of Grace Episcopal Church’s regular church services and often accompany musical selections of the choir on Sundays and special occasions.

The Children & Youth Ministry at Grace has one of the best performing arts programs in its area and will significantly expand that program in 2014.
